Development of High-Efficiency Capacitive Wireless Power Transfer System Using High-Q Superconducting Resonators

(in English) Capacitive wireless power transfer (CPT) is shorter transmission distance than inductive power transfer. In this study, a high-Q factor superconducting resonator using previously developed double-sided coated conductor tape was developed to achieve long-distance and high-efficiency power transmission. The coupling coefficient was improved by increasing the distance between adjacent electrode plates to reduce stray capacitance. The measured Q factor of the superconducting resonator was approximately 13 times higher than that of a copper resonator. At a transmission distance of 90 cm, the power transfer efficiency of CPT using the superconducting resonator and CPT using the copper resonator were 86.7%, and 45.8%, respectively.
