Visualization and Evaluation of Blanking Panel Effects by Multi-Point Temperature and Airflow Measurement

(in English) We developed a temporary system with 120 T-type thermocouples and four ultrasonic anemometers to diagnose rack-specific hot-air recirculation in an operational machine room. In Rack A, blanking panels at upper and lower openings reduced the intake-zone temperature by 0.65 °C and eliminated reverse airflow in nine measurements. Rack B, which had a different equipment arrangement, showed different airflow and temperature responses, including upper-stage warming. These results show that panel placement should be selected from rack-specific temperature and airflow measurements and verified after installation.
