| 抄録 | （和） | 「前提」という現象はあらゆるコミュニケーションにおいて潜在的に重要な役割を果たしているが，何らかの誤解などのディスコミュニケーションが顕在化するまでは参与者もそのやり取りにどのような前提が伴っているかに気づきにくいという厄介な性質を持っている．また，従来の狭義の言語学で考えられてきたように，前提は抽象的な「文」に伴う性質ではなく，当該のコミュニケーションの参与者とその関係性，さらにはその場の物理的環境に応じて異なるという個別具体性が極めて高い現象でもある．そこで，本稿では，前提について，従来のような狭義の言語学的枠組みにとどまらず，人間関係の個別性を重視する社会言語学や，職業的な成員性や制度に関わる組織論，コミュニティにおける暗黙的な常識を扱う文化人類学，コミュニケーションとこれが行われている環境との関わりを解明する生態学的な認知科学，現在の生成AIに至る人工知能学，などのさまざまな関連分野からなる学際研究のための方向性を提示する． |
| （英） | While the phenomenon of "presupposition" plays a potentially crucial role in all forms of communication, it has a tricky characteristic: participants often hardly notice a presupposition underlying an interaction until a breakdown in communication such as a misunderstanding manifests itself. In add, contrary to the traditional linguistic view, presupposition is not merely a property attached to abstract "sentence"; rather, it is a highly specific phenomenon that varies depending on communication participants and their relationships, physical environment of the setting. Therefore, this paper proposes a direction for interdisciplinary research on presupposition that extends beyond traditional linguistic frameworks. It draws upon a diverse range of related fields, including sociolinguistics (which emphasizes the specificity of human relationships), organizational theory (concerned with professional membership and institutional structures), cultural anthropology (which addresses the tacit common knowledge within communities), ecological cognitive science (which explicates the interplay between communication and its environment), and artificial intelligence (including modern generative AI). | |
