Recent advance in computational motor control research has revealed the existence of internal models of the control objects such as arm and hand in the brain. Such outcomes are now attracting the attention of the people in the field of rehabilitation. This paper introduces the recent results of learning multiple internal models, which is severely affected by the contextual information and the sequence of learning. Although improvement is slow, the retention is better when tasks are randomly intermixed in practice than when tasks are segregated and practiced by block. |
