Formant Estimation using Adaptive Compensation of Spectrum Tiled

(in English) It is well known recently that the individual property of speech is appeared on the formant in the high frequency region 4-5kHz. However, it is difficult to estimate formants in the high-frequency region from the wide-band speech signal since the more high frequency the lower energy level in the spectrum. In this paper, we propose an emphasis filter with 2nd order ARMA model and an emphasis algorithm including optimal method for the each pitch synchronous time. We shows that the formants can be estimated stably by using the proposed algorithm from the speech signal of 12kHz sampling.
