We study the feasibility of a transparent antenna composed of extremely thin conductive elements printed on a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film to improve the radiation property. Since the transparent antenna can be placed on the surface of chassis or display for various equipments, a flexibility of product design increases and the antenna area can be expanded. In this paper, we propose a transparent antenna for the digital terrestrial broadcasting mounted in vehicle windshield, and its performance improvement is demonstrated.
