A Subjective Test about a Recognition of the Resolution of 3D image

(in English) 3D image using 3D display is essential to represent virtual space. In this study, we made a subjective test to evaluate a perception of the roughness of 3D and 2D image. The roughness means the resolution of image that is perceived by the observer. The result shows that the resolution of 3D image tends to be perceived to be higher than that of 2D image with equivalent resolution. In addition, a deterioration rate of a 3D image resolution is not to be perceived easily from the case of 2D image. .
