[Poster Presentation] Bandwidth Allocation Method Considering Users' QoE of Communication Speed

(in English) A quality of communication network has been traditionally defined as QoS (Quality of service) such as delay time and bandwidth. On the other hand, QoE (Quality of experience), which is defined by users' subjective feeling or perception, recently attracts more and more attentions. The QoE value changes dynamically depending on users' situation and environment even if the same QoS is provided to the users. In this paper, we focus on providing the same QoE to users and propose a flexible bandwidth allocation to enhance the total user satisfaction. We assume two types of users; relax and busy users. Relax users are normally tolerant of lower QoS, and their QoE will not decrease so much as busy users. Therefore, smaller bandwidth allocation to relax users little affects their QoE degradation while busy users can obtain more bandwidth for higher QoE. The results show that the proposed method realizes the flexible bandwidth allocation with providing the same QoE to all types of users.
