In this study, we aim to design a broadband electromagnetic wave irradiation applicator for creation of functional polymer from lignin, which is a component material of woody biomass. We describe the simulation and examination of the broadband electromagnetic wave irradiation applicator. We designed the broadband electromagnetic wave irradiation applicator with electromagnetic simulator. Simulation result shows that the reflection coefficient of designed applicator is less than about -5dB from 0.34GHz to 2.7GHz. Moreover, we describe reflection measurements and heating experiments. |
