(in English) A missing oddball task is used to investigate brain function of passive attention which is caused unconsciously. It is well known that this task evokes mismatch negativity (MMN) in EEG. This potential is related to a memory function, therefore, it is reported to be useful for diagnosis of early-stage dementia. In this study, we measured the magnetic field corresponding to MMN (mismatch field (MMNm)) using a magnetoencephalography (MEG) system. The MMNm responses of 20 patients with early Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and 20 age-matched healthy subjects were collected. The MMNm amplitude in the AD group was significantly smaller than that of the healthy subjects.
