[Invited Talk] Understanding ``Mechanics in Brains'' via Haptic Illusions

(in English) In this paper, we explain our challenge to haptic applications from deep understandings of the mechanism of haptic information processing which we call ``mechanics in brains'' via haptic illusions. We show our two research examples based on haptic illusions. One is the development of the operation feel display based on the mirrored rubber hand illusion. The other one is the functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) analysis of tactile pleasantness associated with the velvet hand illusion.
