A Novel Computer-Human Interface for Mixed-Reality based 3-D Modeling System

(in English) This paper presents a new computer-human interface for 3-D modeling systems. Conventional computer aided design (CAD) systems have had two major problems. One of the two problems has been that it is troublesome for designers to choose icons or to switch input devices for creating various shapes on the CAD systems, as to realize their ideas to the shape of the objects.
The authors propose the solution to this problem. A new human-interface device detects its user's gripping form, so that it means users of the device can switch a tool to another on a CAD without unnatural actions. And a prototype of the proposed system demonstrates its effectiveness as a 3-D modeling tool.
