Acoustic cue for accent perception in Japanese

(in English) The main objective of this paper is to discuss how listeners perceive tonal patterns in Osaka Japanese.
For Experiment 1 minimal pairs of /hashi/ [HH] ‘edge’ and /hashi/ [HL] ‘bridge' /hashi/ [HH] ‘edge’and /hashi/ [LH] 'chop-sticks' are examined. Synthesized stimurous were presented to native Osaka Japanese listeners, and asked them to determine whose accent patterns.
In Experiment 2 how realize these accent patterns in phrasal utterances.
It can be presumed that the relative difference between high mora and low mora is NOT an essential cue for perceiving tonal patterns.
