[Poster Presentation] Design of a Conical/Pencil Dual-Beam Array Antenna Using Planar Magic-Ts

(in English) This paper proposes a new dual-beam planar array antenna composed of four linearly polarized microstrip antennas. The proposed array antenna has two feed ports and provides two different radiation patterns such as a conical and pencil beam. Two magic-Ts, which employ a microstrip-line T-junction and slot-microstrip line T-junction, achieve this unique feature in a simple structure. The paper includes the design as well as simulation results to highlight its features. This antenna can be applied to various kinds of advanced antennas such as a beam-tracking antenna.
