Notes on Voronoi Diagrams for Pure Quantum States

(in English) We give a new geometric interpretation of quantum pure states. We reinterpret the structure of the space of pure states as a subspace of the space of density matrices with a language of a Voronoi diagram. We show that for one-qubit pure states, the Voronoi diagrams with respect to some distances ― a divergence, Fubini-Study distance, Bures distance, geodesic distance and Euclidean distance ― are all the same. As an application of this fact, we introduce a method to numerically compute the Holevo capacity of a quantum channel. Moreover, we show this coincidence does not occur in a higher level quantum states.
