Evaluation of electric field inside and outside a car is strongly needed, when wireless communication systems are employed in a car. In this article, electric field in a car at 950MHz band is evaluated with 1/3 scale model and 3 times frequency (2859MHz) by the simulation and the measurement. The optical electric field probe is employed for measurement in order to minimize the effect of the cables. FEKO simulator based on the multilevel fast multipole method and the method of moment is employed, and the measured and the simulated results agreed well each other within 3dB difference. The electric field outside a car is also evaluated and the measured and the simulated results agreed. |
