Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) We have carried out the co-evaporation of tetrathiafulvalene (TTF) and tetracyanoquinodimethane (TCNQ) under an electric field to grow TTF-TCNQ wire-like crystals along the applied electric field. A junction of two conductive wires has high resitivity because of preferential growth of TCNQ at the tip of the molecular wire. We fabricated a field effect transistor at the junction of connected wires by local Joule heat. With decreasing the local density of TTF, the transistor exhibited n-channel FET characteristics.
