| (in English) | Business process re-engineering (BPR) has been recognized to be important for efficient businesses. BPR involves some steps such as understanding actual business processes, analyzing inefficiencies and their causes, exploring solutions, and applying the best solutions to the actual businesses. To benefit from BPR, it is indispensable to carry out theses steps continuously. Analyzing causes of inefficiencies, however, needs expert knowledge and enormous efforts, and takes a long period. We develop a system which realizes efficient analyses of actual business process by using system logs. This system consists of several tools and each tool have information model which defines items of input data. But actual system logs are several styles for their purposes. Our system can be applied to such system logs by converting system logs to their information models. Once our system is applied to actual system logs, it is fount that it takes long time to convert system logs and it is difficult to carry out BPR steps continuously. In this paper, we reports problems in applying our system to actual system logs and the guideline in designing system logs, which are results from consideration of the problems. | |
