Performance Evaluation of CC-WSCP for Clustered Ad-hoc Network Mobility

(in English) In an mobile ad-hoc network in which data messages are exchanged by using wireless multi-hop transmission between two mobile computers which cannot communicate directly, routing protocols with less communication overhead are required.
In conventional ad-hoc routing protocols, density of mobile computers are assumed so high that the mobile computers are almost always reachable with each other and each mobile computer changes its location autonomously, i.e. independently of the others.
On the other hand, in ad-hoc networks based on clustered mobility model where multiple mobile computers cofigure a cluster with almost the same velocity, if computers moves with high velocity and clusters are sparsely distributed, two mobile computers included in different clusters can communicate only while these clusters are neighboring, i.e. only sporadic communication is supported.
For supporting such sporadic communication, we have proposed CC-WSCP (Cluster-to-Cluster Wireless Sporadic Communication Protocol) ad-hoc routing protocol.
This paper presents simulation results for evaluation of performance of CC-WSCP by comparing with DSDV ad-hoc routing protocol.
CC-WSCP requires less control messages and provides higher and stabler throughput for communication between clusters than DSDV.
