With the development of recent wireless communication technology, sensor networks, which consist of a lot of sensor nodes, have been considered.
Each sensor node is activated by batteries.
It's important to decrease the consumed power in each sensor node in order to extend the active time of the sensor network.
On the contrary, many sensor nodes are used to forward the detected information.
Therefore, the active time of the whole sensor network is also important.
In this paper, we propose a simple battery aware routing protocol for sensor networks.
Our proposed protocol can decrease the consumed power in each sensor node, and deconcentrate the route via some specific sensor nodes.
Moreover, we add a forwarder node, which has a large capacity battery, to the sensor networks.
From results, the proposed method can extend the active time of the sensor networks.
Additionally, the forwarder node can achieve the high delivery rate of the detected information. |
