A Study on EM Radiation through Aperture of Enclosure by Internal PCB Noise Source (Part 3)

(in English) Enclosure technique is widely used to suppress electromagnetic (EM) radiation and interference from electronic devices. As the aperture of the enclosure causes leakage of EM wave, desired shielding effectiveness may not be satisfied. In this paper, EM radiation from aperture of the enclosure is investigated by using the enclosure model which has a printed circuit board (PCB) as internal EM-noise source. Frequency responses of magnetic near and far-electric fields, shielding effectiveness (SE), and angle pattern at far-field and effects of the size of aperture and position of PCB are discussed. The position of PCB in the enclosure affected about 10dB of horizontal component of far-electrical field. It is suggested that the positioning of the noise source in the enclosure affects on the SE.
