It is important to improve the flame resisting of the electrolyte in securing the safety of Lithium ion batteries.
We selected three Phosphazene compounds from among to the fire retardant and examined the effect. The electrolyte (based EC/DMC) that contained a Phosphazene compound was adjusted, and the flammability and ionic conductivity were measured. The flammability test condition was modified referring to the UL94 standard. We clarified the amount of a necessary the Phosphazene compound for non-flammability adding. |
