Array Calibration Technique with Signals Separated by Independent Component Analysis

(in English) Eigenstructure-based algorithms for high-resolution Direction-Of-Arrival (DOA) estimation, {\it e.g.} MUSIC algorithm, require array calibration for their mode vectors. This paper develops a technique for estimating the array calibration matrix using signal sources with unknown DOAs. These signal sources can be separated by the independent component analysis (ICA). In the proposed calibration technique, the calibration matrix is estimated with these separated signal sources. An iterative estimation technique is employed for estimating the calibration matrix and the DOAs of the sources. Computer simulations demonstrate the performance of the proposed calibration technique.
