This study investigates the kinematic GPS positioning of vehicles running under urban conditions. The cycle slips of double-frequency carrier phase measurements are successfully repaired by off-line processing and 10-cm or preciser positioning is achieved for most of GPS measurement epochs. The measured points with exceptionally large error are efficiently removed against the criterion of horizontal dilution of precision (HDOP). The excessive elimination of the points is minimized, i.e., 0.2 %, by setting the threshold of HDOP to 60.
