In previous papers, we introduce the notions of bicodes, alternating bicodes and tricodes, and propose modified RSA cryptosystems in which encryption and decryption are done by depending on the RSA cryptosystem and sending messages are done in the form of bicodes,alternating bicodes or tricodes, respectively. A bicode is a code of the form of a finite sequence of pairs of words such that any encoded message $w$ is a concurrent combination of the left part ($X$-part) of $w$ and the right part ($Y$-part) of $w$. An alternating bicode is a code of the form of a finite sequence of pairs of words such that any encoded message $w$ is a concurrent combination of the left part (the odd $X$-part and the even $Y$-part) of $w$ and the right part (the odd $Y$-part and the even $X$-part) of $w$. A tricode is a code of the form of a finite sequence of pairs of words such that any encoded message $w$ is a concurrent combination of the left part ($X$-part) of $w$, the right part ($Y$-part) of $w$ and the central part ($X$-part and $Y$-part) of $w$. In this paper, we introduce the notion of alternating tricodes and propose four families of modified RSA cryptosystems in which encryption and decryption are done by depending on the RSA cryptosystem and sending messages are done in the form of alternating tricodes. We study some properties of alternating tricodes, and show that the alternating tricode problem is undecidable, that is, there does not exist an algorithm for determing whether or not any given finite sequence of pairs of words is an alternating tricodes. |
