Previous researches on object tracking have improved tracking accuracy. However, it is difficult to track an object region in a video with no error. When a tracking error occurs, a user must re-extract the object region by hand. This paper proposes an object tracking method which user can easily re-extract the object region when a tracking error occurs. The proposed method applies graph-cut-based object extractions to object tracking in a video. Graph-cut-based object extraction separates an object region from the background using two kinds of lines which are drawn in the object region and the background region by a user. Using these two kinds of lines, the proposed method extracts an object region at the first frame in a video. In addition, the method extracts an object region in each frame after the first frame by tracking the lines the user has given. Even though a tracking error is occurred at some frame, user can easily repair the error by adding new lines and erasing existing lines at the frame. We have compared tracking accuracy between the proposed method and a traditional tracking method and have discussed the efficiency of the proposal. |
