(in English) Recently, increasing of the number of senior citizens is one of serious problems in Japan in the background of declining birthrate and a growing proportion of elderly people.
This situation requires a robot that cares for mind of senior citizens.
This paper reports a new engineering model of emotions and two methods to achieve other persons understanding.
Moreover, it proposes an emotion inference method based on the model and an acquisition method of other person's evaluation criteria.
The model and methods are constructed as a prototype system.
The result of fundamental evaluation is also described.
