The online quality control of impurities such as water in highly pure materials used for semiconductor manufactureis needed. Currently, CRD (Cavity Ring-Down) technique has been one method of online high sensitive analysis. However, in case of conventional CRD, measurement system is unstable because it is easy to be affected by surrounding noise such as temperature and vibration. In this paper, we have developed novel optical fiber CRD system using a fiber loop instead of a pair of mirrers. Although this system is very stable and enables the analysis of microscale sample, in this CRD system,acceptable RDP (Ring -Down Pulse) for high sensitive analysis were not observed because of light loss through sample cell. So,we used optical amplifier in fiber-loop to repair light loss through sample cell. This amplified CRD system made improvement of measurement sensitivity. But we have to improve still further measurement sensitivity depending on analyte assayed. Wehave tried to develop low-loss cell, but at present satisfactory result are not achieved. We will maintain our approach to increase measurement sensitivity. |
