Automated detection for architectural distortion based on analysis of line structure in breast area on mammograms

(in English) We have developed an automated detection method for architectural distortion that is difficult to diagnose breast cancer. In our previous method, it was difficult to detect an architectural distortion with very thin mammary glands. We suggest to the method of combination of two resolution images in order to extract various width mammary glands. Our new method was evaluated by using 280 mammograms from Digital Database for Screening Mammography (DDSM) released by University of South Florida. As a result, the detection performance of our new method showed better than that of the previous method.
