| 抄録 | （和） | With the rapid increase of multimedia content on the Internet, it becomes more and more important to retrieve multimedia content. Multimedia content usually includes speech information, which very often carries the core information about the content and can be the key to retrieve the content. As a result, voice-based information retrieval has been an important research area. In this talk the present state of voice-based information retrieval is discussed with respect to its text-based counterpart, which has been extremely successful today. Some recent work done in National Taiwan University will also be summarized as typical examples. The talk includes the following parts: (1) spoken language technologies under the network environment, (2) overview of voice-based information retrieval, (3) improved accuracy for voice-based information retrieval, (4) interactive user interface for voice-based information retrieval, (5) demo, and (6) concluding remarks. |
