In this report, we describe prediction of chaotic time series.
In concrete, we use neural networks as a prediction system and explain about an improved method of updating weights and biases of neural networks by a particle swarm optimization.
In the improved method of particle swarm optimization, it exchanges elements of a vector of the particle position with a certain probability.
Therefore, we expect that the search may escape from local minima and it achieves a better solution.
In this report, we applied the proposed particle swarm optimization and conventional ones to the same neural networks of their structures and compare with the performances of prediction of chaotic time series.
Then, we show the effectiveness of the proposed method in the optimization of neural networks for predicting chaotic time series. |
