| 抄録 | （和） | 自動車交通を対象としたITSの現状と将来への期待について考察する．ITS関連システムのうち，安全運転支援システムは実用化されてはいるが，十分には普及しておらず，自動運転システムは研究開発段階にとどまっている．自動運転システムはITSの究極の形であり，導入に関する議論が必要な時期が来ている．現在のITSの課題の一つは安全運転支援システムの普及であり，我が国のITSが解決すべき自動車交通問題は歩行者の保護と高齢者ドライバの支援である．中長期的には，燃費改善のためのトラックの自動運転隊列走行や，我が国の道路事情と交通事情を考慮したインテリジェントな超小型車など，安全に加えて地球温暖化防止を目的とした自動車交通システムの導入が必要である． |
| （英） | This paper discusses the present status and future expectation on ITS, where driver assistance systems have not yet widespread although they have been in the market, and automated driving systems or automated highway systems are still at the stage of R&D. Automated driving systems are an ultimate goal of ITS and discussion on the introduction must be started right now. One of the current issues on ITS is penetration of driver assistance systems, and current issues that ITS should provide solutions are prevention of vulnerable road users and elderly driver assistance. Mid and long term goals include automated heavy truck platoons and intelligent ultra-small vehicles suitable to the road network and transportation by automobiles in Japan, aiming at the global warming prevention as well as safety. | |
