A Study on MSC/DS-SS Inter-Vehicle Communication assisted by Road-Vehicle Communication

(in English) In this paper, improving MCS/DS-SS IVC using p-persistent CSMA is studied. It is possible for p-persistent CSMA to adapt optimally to current traffic situation by setting p to an appropriate value. Therefore, improvement of IVC performance is expected if optimal p value can be set according to the traffic of vehicles. In this paper, the optimal p value that is appropriate for the traffic situation is examined by performing computer simulation under various traffic situations. As the result of simulation, under high traffic situation, it is possible to achieve higher throughput by setting smaller p value.
