Maximum A Posteriori Estimation For Dirichlet Process Language Models

(in English) In recent years, Mixture distributions with Dirichlet Process (DP) prior have been successfully applied to many practical problems. Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) or Variational Bayesian (VB) method have been used to implement mixture distributions with DP prior. In this paper, we propose a novel implementation method for multinomial mixtures and P\'{o}lya mixtures using DP prior. In this method, DP-Expectation Maximization (DP-EM) algorithms is used to compute Maximum A Posteriori (MAP) estimates of parameter set. Therefore, this method enables us to utilize useful properties of DP prior with more easer procedures than those of other implementation methods. To validate the proposed method, it is tested with text data set.
