Compact and Femto-second Pulse Fiber Laser for Three-dimensional Optical Recording

(in English) We developed a fiber laser possible to oscillate femto second pulses and recorded bit data in three-dimensions. The laser cavity was comprised with ring shape. Erbium doped fiber was used as laser gain medium. The pulse width, the pulse energy and the peak power were 93 fs, 1.6 nJ and 5.3 kW, respectively. The bulk-type recording medium was fabricated with diarylethenes. The fiber laser was possible to induce the two photon absorption into the recording medium. From this result, we could record bit data in three dimensions.
