"Ba": an interview project in Japanese language learners -- case study and implications of conditions for collaborative learning --
Mieko Ebara (Waseda Univ.) TL2009-30
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Abstract : This paper examines and analyzes “resonance” “collaboration” and “co-creation” among class participants occur
in “ba”, a dynamic environment where background and ever-changing context of communication are involved. It has been
concluded that there are certain conditions “ba” are created as well as in which such “resonance” “collaboration” and
“co-creation” takes place. Also, it has been suggested that language learners’ competence of Japanese is not acquired as
static “given” knowledge but as knowledge which is created by learners themselves as self-expression in such dynamic “ba”.
Keyword (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) autonomous learning / interaction / creation of "ba" / collaborative learning / commyunicability / co-creation / language learner competence / konwledge created by learners themselves
