TMS artifact model and EEG signal processing

(in English) While the TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) is applied to the
brain, the EEG (Electroencephalogram) is measured to investigate the TMS
effects to the brain. In this case the TMS-related noise
(TMS artifact) is additionally mixed to the measured EEG data.
It needs to reduce and erase the TMS artifact component to analyze
this measured EEG data.
We have proposed that the TMS equipment and bio-measurement system
are approximated as the equivalent electric circuit models and the
shape of the TMS artifact is described as the function
of the circuit parameters by solving the circuit models with some
states.
The basic feature of the proposed method has investigated against the
measured EEG data with typical TMS artifact.
Now we report the results of the proposed method throughout each TMS
event and electrode in the sequence of the TMS application experiment.
