Scale-Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT) is an algorithm for detecting and extracting local feature descriptors. SIFT is reasonably invariant to changes in illumination, image noise, rotation, scaling, and small changes in viewpoint. Because the SIFT algorithm can describe characteristics of feature points. These points are invariant to scale and rotation changes. It has been used for image matching such as image mosaic and generic object recognition.
The motion estimation is technology used for compressing movies, resolution enhancement, etc. It is basic technology used for invasion detection using security camera. Existing motion estimation methods are the block-matching, the sector region luminosity correlations method, etc.
This paper inspects the effectiveness of the suggestion method by the following methods. The suggestion method gets scale factor by a Gaussian Filter and decide initial magnification. The conventionally method does not use a Gaussian Filter when to decide initial magnification. This paper compare speed and precision of the estimate in two cases. |
