The luminescence by many materials dope silica thin film

(in English) We previously reported strong luminescence by UV excitation from artificial-lattice thin films of ion doped silica glass (silica superstructure thin films). Recently, we observed UV induced luminescence from silica films containing mixed dopants of Ge, Ti and Sn. This report presents temperature dependence of the luminescence for both the superstructure silica and mix doped silica films. Two types of temperature dependencies were observed, that are (1) luminescence increased at low temperature region, (2) luminescence decreased at low temperature region.
