Performance evaluation of IEEE 802.16j relay networks with consideration of blocking radio waves by obstacles

(in English) In IEEE 802.16j relay network, the network performance can be affected by obstacles because of the changes in the characteristics of radio wave propagation and interference relationships. In this report, we investigate the performance of IEEE 802.16j relay network considering the influence of radio waves by obstacles. The extensive simulation results reveal that the service area does not decrease so much when the number of obstacles is comparatively small, and the service area increases by adding relay nodes at the small cost in the increase of the frame size.
