Validation of macroscopic photopolymer model for angular multiplexing holographic memory

(in English) Holographic memory is expected as next generation optical memory that can achieve storage capacity of 1TB/disk and data transfer rate of 1Gbps. Photopolymers have been extensively investigated as a write-once recording material for holographic memory. We have proposed a macroscopic shrinkage model of the photopolymer to show the acceptable shrinkage rate in angular multiplexed holographic memory. In this macroscopic model, a recording medium is divided into layers along the depth direction and the amount of shrinkage at each layer is proportional to the amount of exposure. In this report, theoretical value of the angle displacement in the readout light is derived by wave vector diagram when there is shrinkage in the angular multiplexed holographic memory. By comparing the numerical angle displacement with the theoretical value, we showed the effectiveness of the macroscopic shrinkage model.
