ADE-LIM for the Fast Transient Simulation of Multiconductor Transmission Lines and Its Estimation

(in English) This report describes an application techique of the alternating direction explicit-latency insertion mehod (ADE-LIM) to multiconductor transmission lines (MLTs) and estimations of its characteristics. The ADE-LIM is the improved method of the LIM for the fast transient analysis of large networks. The ADE-LIM can relax the limitation for numerical stabililty of the LIM and thus do fast transient analyses compared with the LIM. In this report, we give a general formulation of the ADE-LIM. In addition, to apply the ADE-LIM to multiconductor transmission lines, we generate the formulation based on the block-LIM, which is more adapted than the basic-LIM for the simulation of the coupled interconnect. Finally, an example circuit is analyzed by the block-LIM and the block-ADE-LIM, we estimate the accuracy, the dissipation characteristic and the CPU time of the block-ADE-LIM.
