| 抄録 | （和） | (事前公開アブストラクト) This study investigates how a teacher scaffolds in teacher-student interactions in an English as a foreign language (EFL) classroom. The 5-month data collections of classroom discourse, ethnographically (e.g., observations, interviews and audio recordings of the discourse, etc.) obtained in naturalistic whole-class settings (a teacher and 16 students), showed how the teacher organizes scaffolding at micro and macro levels according to the student(s)’ Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD). The analysis will present various ways of scaffolding interactions with students within the context of the role of discourse in the mediation of cognitive development, one of the main points in sociocultural theory (SCT). |
