Prototyping of a sound direction control system using a 2D loudspeaker array based on the boundary surface control principle

(in English) This paper proposes an improved method for a sound direction control system based on the boundary surface control principle in real acoustic environment. In the previous work, we have shown that employing a loudspeaker array with a square-matrix configuration and an elliptical configuration of suppression control points achieves better characteristics than using a conventional straight-line loudspeaker array by numerical simulations. Based on this, a real prototype of a square-matrix loudspeaker array is constructed, where a method is proposed to form an equivalent elliptical configuration of suppression control points. Feasibility of the method is confirmed by the numerical simulation and experiments in the real environment.
