The essential principle of human language has long been pursued by many researchers in vain. The author hypothesizes that the “Digital Principle”, which supports genetic information mechanism operated by 4-member nucleotides, is applied in language as well exploiting about 100 member digital syllabic signals: The Digital Hypothesis of Language [1].
In source coding, a million of phonetically distinctive words can be generated by permutation of a few syllables, each containing a distinguished dynamic range equivalent to 7 bit/syllable. Individuals instinctively construct their own post-natal database of word-memories with corresponding sensory-memories. On the other hand, error-free communication is established thanks to a “Digital Entropic Gain” between discrete pronunciation and continuous listening reinforced by mother-tongue phonemic trace memories, and, consequently, the grammatical composition of elaborate and complex meanings into a mono-dimensional phonemic flow (=sentences) became available, so did the use of abstract concepts in science.
It is with this Digital Principle that human became able to take over cultural tradition from precedent generations and accomplished epigenetic evolution while genomic information remains unchanged in these scores of thousand years.
It is supposed that language mechanism has remained to be occulted or a mystery, because Speaker's “syntactic” and Listener's “understanding” mechanisms are automata operated by the instinctive life-logic. In addition, “syntactic” and “understanding” automata are networked with error-free “listening” automaton, and these three automata consist of a seamless, insensible, consolidated and communal automaton of information sharing and exchanges.
In this presentation, the author refers to the OSI Reference Model and implements a trial analysis in order to perceive linguistic information network mechanism as well as the information request in the background. |
