In wireless sensor networks, WSNs, it is important to evaluate resistance against adversary. Posh
scheme was proposed for unattended WSNs, UWSNs. The scheme has good properties related to forward secrecy, backward secrecy and self-healing. Furthermore, the scheme also evaluated how much a UWSN can resist adversary on some kind of game. As a result, if the number of adversary's nodes is twenty percents of the total number of sensors, its forty percents remain to be grasped by the adversary. In this case, the best solution to con_gure a UWSN is shown by the scheme. However, in the scheme, the assumption that all sensors are connected by each other. If the sensors are divided into sections and communicate locally, there is a vulnerability that may become unsafe. Sensor capability of radio communication range is limited to low. Wireless connections may be divided under the inuence of terrain and weather in the use of the WSN. Since the situation is generally assumed, it causes a fatal aw in the POSH scheme. In this paper, a new scheme using the hash chained data is proposed. It can enhance resistance against adversary even if the sensors are divided locally. As a result, the authors not only overcome the shortcomings of local resistance, even in ordinary cases our result is comparable or better than the POSH scheme. |
