The author came to a hypothesis that the unique and fundamental difference between humans and non-human animals (NHA) is in vocal communication methods: digital or analog. All the other basic mechanism and structure of emotion, logical judgment, memories and pattern recognition are common. However, as there are no definition of 'digital', the author looked for classical documents in the Information Theory such as Shannon and von Neumann. It was surprising that Shannon never discussed on 'digital' and presented analog phenomena as though they are discrete phenomena. On the other hand, by intensive reading of Pavlov's literature, it became clear that Pavlov implemented so-called Conditional Reflexes experiments on the premise that dogs had no emotion and reason. In conclusion the author surmises that Shannon Theory and Conditional Reflexes should not be regarded and used as scientific concepts. |
