Waveguide orthomode junction is one of key components of antenna feed systems for satellite communication. However, usual orthomode junction is large and heavy, because of its complex configuration. To address this problem, we propose a downsized waveguide orthomode junction to separate right-hand circular polarization, left-hand circular polarization and linear polarizations. This orthomode junction consists of low pass filters, phase shifters and magic-Ts laid out in a figure eight. In this report, we show the design method and the measurement results. |
