Titanium oxide nanotube are nanomaterials which draw attention as a negative electrode for a dye-sensitized solar cell (DSC). Anodization of titanium is a promising method to fabricate a vertically-oriented titanium oxide nanotube film on transparent conductive oxide (TCO) layer. The application of an anodic titanium oxide nanotube film to a negative electrode of a DSC requires direct formation of a crystallized titanium oxide nanotube film of about 10 µm in thickness on a TCO layer. In this study, a titanium film deposited on a TCO layer by the DC magnetron sputtering method was anodized in an ethylene glycol solution containing ammonium fluoride and water to form anodic titanium oxide nanotube films, and it was annealed in oxygen atmosphere to form anatase film with the nanotube structure. In addition, the anatase nanotube films ware applied to a DSC. |
