A State Transition Control Method Based on a Mobility pattern of a Mobile Terminal

(in English) It is predicted that the number of M2M devices on mobile networks such as vending machines, cars, etc. will increase rapidly and the control signaling load will increase in future. There are two states, which are the Active state and the Idle state, in a Mobile terminal. There is a problem that the cost of the reconnection processing and the hand over processing for the mobile terminal increase if the mobile network does not control a state transition of the mobile terminal optimally. This paper proposed a method for controlling the state transition of the mobile terminal based on a mobility pattern that calculated from a mobile history of the Mobile terminal. Simulation results demonstrated the proposed method reduced the amount of processing cost.
